Since its release in 2014, demand for Oracle's Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) has soared, enticing some of our beloved clients from a variety of different industries including advertising, FMCG, managed services and care homes. Some of you use it to facilitate and improve a wide range of internal processes from the typical budgeting and forecasting through to recharges, client profitability, sales analysis and investment scenario planning.
Each month, PBCS sees new developments that improve the technical and functional ability of the system, the most striking change being the new simplified interface. It has modernised the end user experience, making it more finance-user friendly and more intuitive. The app-like experience is consistent across Oracle's range of new Cloud services; consistency is important and we know you're finding this reassuring!
In the last few months, we've seen a mega push from Oracle to sell and implement EPBCS - the enterprise version. This new solution takes PBCS and adds on the capability to utilise Oracle's pre-built modules: Financials, Workforce, Capital and Projects. There are many improvements from the on-premise equivalents but, at double the price, we're yet to see how its demand will develop...
