Brovanture Wins Best Speaker Award at Premiere Oracle Conference

Guillaume Slee
EPM Services Director

Last week members of the Brovanture team attended the @ODTUG #Kscope19 conference in Seattle. The organisers describe it as “The premier educational conference for Oracle technology users, attracting Oracle experts from all over the globe”.  Kscope is the ‘Blue Ribbon’ event to attend if Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Business Analytics and associated technology are your bag.  It is organised by an army of extremely dedicated user group members who go above and beyond to bring quality content in a fun and engaging manner.  Whilst this is an independent conference, Oracle recognise its importance and send over their top product managers and developers to announce the latest roadmaps, new products and give the attending end users and consulting partners a chance to network directly with Oracle.

The Brovanture team were selected to deliver two presentations and co-present a third this year:

  • Integrating EPBCS with the Oracle Cloud: A Candid Account of One of the Largest Oracle Cloud Transformation Projects in the UK
  • PBCS—The Strategic Piece of the Position Management Solution Jigsaw—a Real-World Example
  • Extending Fusion Apps—Real-Life Example of Using VBCS—Operational Position Management

We were extremely proud to win the coveted Top Speaker Award for the EPM Integration track this year for our ‘Integrating EPBCS with the Oracle Cloud’ presentation. This was a ‘warts-and-all’ account of how Brovanture integrated Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) with a whole host of other Oracle cloud technologies such as Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Fusion HCM, Oracle Analytic Cloud Service, Oracle Identity Cloud Service plus many other Oracle ‘acronyms’! We spoke about some of the excellent inbuilt integration features that come with EPBCS (and also incidentally with Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service – PBCS) which allow you to easily pull actuals into EPBCS and push budgets and forecasts back into ERP. We also revealed some of the useful workarounds that we used to deliver a highly effective solution for this very large project. The use of Oracle Analytics Cloud Service to report directly off both ERP and EPBCS was also of particular interest, as was the configuration of Oracle Identity Cloud Service to provide single sign-on capabilities across the entire range of projects.

A Brovanture team of four attended the conference this year to speak, network and soak up as much knowledge as possible to pass onto our customers. We look forward to participating in next year’s #Kscope20 in Boston and contributing to its continued success.
