Marc & I started Brovanture in 2005 after having worked together at the EPM vendor Comshare. A shared recognition that Essbase was far and above the best financial database led us to approach Hyperion to become partners and the rest, as they say, is history.
Over the years we have completed over 80 successful implementation projects including discoverIE, Channel 4 Television, Edrington-Beam Suntory and many others. Our first project remains a valued client and has migrated, with our support, from Oracle Hyperion Planning to the Oracle Cloud EPM Planning, an evolution that we have enthusiastically followed ourselves. We use NetSuite and Oracle Cloud EPM internally.
A background in management and ERP & EPM sales has enabled me to to lead teams to position and implement business change/improvement programmes using software as a facilitator of that change within a range of industries and in different functional areas.
When I am not working to exceed the expectations of our clients I can be found playing golf or watching the trials and tribulations of Harlequins rugby.

When we started Brovanture we wanted to improve on the various organisations that we’d come to know. My business life that began at Dimension Data, in Johannesburg in 1997 with Essbase, continued with Comshare where a certain account manager dispatched me to implement in Glasgow within days of arriving and has culminated in over 13 years and many implementations with Brovanture. I lead a group of highly skilled and dedicated consultants – many of whom have been developed within Brovanture as placement students or graduates.
Oracle Essbase remains at the core of what we do whether in Oracle Cloud EPM or Oracle Hyperion On-premises. Our Graduates always start with the foundation of Oracle Essbase before moving on to the various products in use.
My skillset developed over years of Pre-Sales, Implementation and Support engagements remains valid in today’s market as the use of the Cloud becomes the standard in finance.
I remain convinced that the Brovanture teams of technical and functional specialists and skilled accountants presents the best service provision for companies looking for fast economic solutions with the market leading Oracle Cloud software.
When I’m not contemplating a multi dimensional cube I can be found in Richmond Park preparing for the next triathlon or on the terraces of The Stoop.

I’ve been working with EPM products since I joined Hyperion in 1999 as an Essbase support consultant. I was invited to join Brovanture in 2014 after working with several consultancies including Infratects, KPMG and Analitica.
My main areas of focus are on environments, integration and presales. Brovanture provide innovative hosting and support solutions for our on-premises customers and we are experts in delivering smooth and swift upgrade services migrating on-premises applications to the Oracle Cloud EPM and Oracle NetSuite Cloud ERP. However, you never forget your first love and I still get a real kick out of demoing Oracle Cloud EPM Planning and more recently the Oracle Analytics Cloud to our new clients.
When I’m not up to my elbows in data you’ll find me running on the fells, swimming in lakes and cycling up hills.

Roger Cressy – Associate Director North America
I am an experienced consultant with over 25 years expertise in the field developing a strong background in corporate finance systems, company divestitures and acquisitions, and on-premises to cloud software migrations.
I assisted numerous companies with acquisitions and divestitures, and have broad capabilities in designing: Infrastructure technologies (on-premises and Cloud), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions as well as Enterprise Analytics & BI reporting platforms. A key skill is my ability to communicate complex technical principles in simple language.
I thrive on continuous learning and sharing knowledge. One of my favourite sayings is “Transformation is not a destination, but a journey of continuous growth,” it encapsulates my mindset and approach to work.
I am now living in Palm Coast, Florida and love the outdoors. I’m also a musician, and now have a dedicated music room in the house. My wife and I are adventurers and thrive on visiting people and places we can learn from.
Sarah Dow – Practice Leader Financial Close
I have spent over 30 years working with EPM solutions, starting with Hyperion Micro Control in the 90s followed by Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and now Oracle Cloud EPM, Consolidation and Close (FCC), Account Reconciliation (ARCS) and Narrative Reporting.
I originally joined Brovanture in 2010 and the financial consolidation team was born!
My experience includes project management, technical delivery and application demonstrations. Prior to joining Brovanture I occupied various accounting, systems accounting and project management roles.
When not working you can find me walking my two dogs, and if I can combine that with my favourite location by the sea, I’m in my happy place. I am a keen sportswoman, in my younger years competed in athletics, now I focus on CrossFit, and triathlons and my most recent challenge was a 5k swim. My claim to fame is in tenpin bowling, achieving the bowlers dream of the elusive perfect score of 300!
Kim Kannemeyer – South Africa Country Manager
I am a qualified accountant with twenty plus years experience. I have spent the last fifteen years bridging the gap between finance and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) finance systems beginning with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and latterly making the shift to Oracle Cloud EPM.
Using my multi-industry experience I have worked to bring my extensive finance and systems knowledge to meet client needs and help them with their finance transformations projects. My role with Brovanture has seen me involved with multiple clients and in multiple roles including project management, system design, system build, training and support.
I enjoy the challenges and variety that each new client and engagement brings and working with the highly dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues at Brovanture.
Most of my downtime is spent relaxing with a good series or book, enjoying the outdoors, doing nature walks, exploring new places and travelling when time permits.
Barry Kirwan – Client Success Manager
My role at Brovanture is working with our new and existing clients as their Customer Success Manager, ensuring that our clients and their stakeholders are getting the most value from their solution and their relationship with Brovanture. Like the entire team at Brovanture, the client is at the forefront of my mind in everything that I do.
Working within IT for the past 20 years, and with the office of finance with Oracle ERP and EPM for the past 6 years, I am keenly aware of the challenges that organisations can face in making sense of their financial data to unlock new insights to shape business decision making.
Based in Dublin, I am a sport fanatic and if I am not helping or learning from our clients and team, I am usually playing (well, trying!) football, golf, or anything with a ball or more commonly these days perched somewhere watching sport – often with a pint of Guinness in hand!
Julie Stringfellow – Practice Leader Enterprise Resource Planning
I started working with ERP systems in the early nineties and ended up implementing Oracle EBS and then Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP for Reading Borough Council. During that time, we also implemented Oracle Cloud EPM Planning working with Brovanture and that is when I met Malcolm and Marc! They helped resolve some difficult issues we had with the implementation and a strong working relationship began.
A few years later I had the opportunity to join the Brovanture team to take responsibility for all things ERP which included NetSuite and Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP. As a client I had been very impressed by the Brovanture culture of working in true collaboration with the client team so it was a no brainer to join them and continue with that ethos. I really enjoy working with our clients on their ERP implementations and ongoing support.
During my leisure time, I love to travel, spend time with family and walking the dog.
Before Ram arrived at Brovanture he worked in North America and Canada for several years working with Oracle Hyperion Planning and Oracle Essbase. For the first 6 months we called Ram, Naresh! This must have been confusing for him! On his first day he went straight to a client we’d just secured a support contract with. We still support many clients today that Ram worked with when he started and this is largely because of his dedication to support excellence and the support team he has grown and developed. An example of this is whilst holiday in India, from the beach, he talked through a solution for a client application via Facetime.
Martin was part of the hardcore Essbase team at Comshare in the 1990s and is a fount of all Oracle Essbase knowledge. He has been a source of clever solutions in our industry for years, applying a mix of cynical doubt and technical brilliance to our various engagements. It was Martin who came up with our Student Placement Scheme. Martin has inspired our many placement students (all still with us today!) to become masters of Oracle Essbase and ambassadors for the Hyperion/Oracle planning on-premises and Cloud products.
We were first introduced to Alin when one of our team was implementing at Ursus the brewers in Bucharest. His interview with Brovanture was delayed by a volcano erupting in Iceland and flights were grounded all over Europe. He eventually flew in one Friday morning, went out to lunch with Malcolm and Marc and the rest is history! Alin’s first project was in sunny Keighley and he didn’t see the Brovanture office again for weeks. He followed up with numerous projects in the UK. Recently, Alin has operated from his home in Bucharest working with clients there and in the UK and expanding our relationship with the Oracle On-Premises team based in Romania.
