The Future is Oracle Cloud EPM Redwood!
Oracle are constantly releasing new functionality each month as part of their monthly Oracle Cloud EPM patches, as well as removing old functionality from time to time in order to move forward with the latest features. On that note, I’m writing to make sure you’re aware that the July 24.07 patch will be the end to all non-Redwood themes in Oracle Cloud EPM!
This means that Oracle will automatically update all Oracle Cloud EPM environments that use a non-Redwood theme to the Redwood Experience. There will no longer be an option to use a non-Redwood theme. This is applicable for all Account Reconciliation, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Profitability and Cost Management, and Tax Reporting environments.
The July 24.07 patch has / will be applied on:
- Friday 5th July for Test Environments
- Friday 19th July for Production Environments
As explained in my previous blog (https://brovanture.com/oracle-cloud-epm-latest-features-out-with-the-old-and-in-with-the-new/), the Redwood experience is an appearance setting which enables the latest look and feel for Oracle Cloud EPM.
Enabling the redwood experience comes with many benefits, including:
- Latest look and feel
- Compact design and crisper icons
- Consistency across apps, including other Oracle Cloud EPM processes and Oracle Cloud ERP
- Enhanced features such as Forms 2.0
- Ongoing support and enhancements
- Customise by choosing either:
- Oracle (default)
- Custom Light
- Custom Dark
- Add a custom Logo and/or Background
We highly recommend undertaking full regression testing on your Test environment between 6th-18th July, to ensure no loss of functionality after the automatic upgrade to the Redwood theme.
As always, if you need any help with any of the above, please feel free to reach out to us at Brovanture via our Contact Page on our website or give us a call on +44 (0)1483 685450.
