This one-day course is geared toward users of the Excel Add-In and/or Smart View.

We show attendees all the features and tricks for extending the power of Microsoft Excel into Oracle Essbase reporting. We start by familiarising attendees with the essential vocabulary and basic understanding of Oracle Essbase databases. Next, we move into the mechanics of building reports with Oracle Smart View for Office and the Excel Add-In and explore some of the more advanced features.

Most of the coverage applies to the Excel Add-in and Oracle Smart View for Office – we can emphasise/de-emphasise either one or both depending on attendees’ preferences.

Since most of the class is conducted on our generic training model, we finish the class with a hands-on workshop using the attendees’ applications. This allows attendees to tie the concepts learned throughout the day to their own world.
