Brovanture Practice Leader Sarah Dow joins UKOUG Shine Mentoring Programme
Malcom Brock
Managing Director
UKOUG, the Oracle UK User Group, has launched UKOUG Shine, their first mentoring programme for the Oracle community. The programme is open to all women and non-binary individuals in the Oracle community, in any role within the Oracle ecosystem.
In line with Brovanture’s modus operandi to invest in education and give back to communities we work with our own Sarah Dow, Brovanture Practice Leader – Financial Close, has applied and been accepted into the first mentoring cohort of this programme. This first part of the programme will run for approximately 2 months from the beginning of May 2024. The total time commitment from both mentors and mentees will be 6 hours of mentoring and 6 hours of collaboration sessions. This is followed by an optional in-person celebration event, at the end of the cohort, on 11th July.
Congratulations to Sarah. I am sure that your mentee will gain considerable benefits from your extensive experience of working in the Oracle Ecosystem with Oracle EPM products. We look forward hearing how you get on and your experiences of the programme.
Brovanture has run Student Placement and Graduate Development Schemes for nearly 20 years in our efforts to attract new young people into our industry. In 2023 we extended this scheme to employ two graduates in our operation in South Africa. We also encourage and fund all our staff to broaden their education and knowledge by gaining Oracle product certifications and finance professional qualifications.
We wish Sarah and all who are involved with this inspirational scheme good luck.
Until next time
Malcolm
